Please contact Governor Chris Christie now to ask that he include the Non-public School Technology Initiative in his 2013 NJ State budget. Petitioning the Governor respectfully and asking for this restoration can help provide a financial boost to the school in these tough economic times. Involve your children since this is an excellent civics lesson for them.
This is a time-sensitive request because Governor Christie’s Budget will be issued in mid-February, which means they are working on it now -- there is still time to have our voices heard. The Non-public School Technology Inititative allocates $40 per student. It was dropped by Governor Corzine and has been out of the budget for the past two years. Last year, it came very close to being in the budget and is still sorely missed by our schools.
