The St. Michael's School Respect Life Advocacy Group, in partnership with the Cranford Knights of Columbus, recently sponsored a contest that included awards for essays, poems, and posters based on the theme, Stand Up Now! -- Unite for the Life Principles. The contest was open to students from the parish Religious Education program, as well as students from St. Michael's School.
Here are the results:
Essay Contest
- 1st Place -- Samantha Vicencio (SMS Grade 7)
- 2nd Place -- Stephen Oro (SMS Grade 7)
- 3rd Place -- Cooper Sciascia (SMS Grade 7)
Poetry Contest
- 1st Place -- Bridget Duffy (SMS Grade 8)
- 2nd Place -- Gillian Keenaghan (SMS Grade 6)
- 3rd Place -- Michael Maloof (SMS Grade 8)
Poster Contest
- 1st Place -- Eric Christensen (SMS Grade 8)
- 2nd Place -- Owen Lynsky (SMS Grade 8)
- 3rd Place -- Maddy Picard (SMS Grade 6)
