November 30, 2008Dear Parents,
As we enter the season of Advent we await the coming of our Lord. For most of us this is a busy time of year:
- The First Trimester ends on November 21.
- Report Cards will be distributed to children K – 8 during the week of Dec. 1.
- Secret Santa Shop: December 11 & 12.
- Geography Bee: December 16 at 1:30PM.
- Breakfast with Santa: December 13.
- Boston Coffee Cakes will be delivered on December 10.
The annual Christmas Concert will take place on Tuesday evening, December 9 at 7:00PM. Mrs. Singer has put the concert songs on the Internet so that students may practice the music. There is a button allowing you to subscribe to the free podcast in iTunes, if you wish.
The Kindergarten Christmas Concert will take place December 17 at 9 A.M. in the auditorium.
The Pre-K4 Christmas Concert will take place December 19 at 9 A.M. in the auditorium.
Recently, many of you have purchased a grey hooded SMS sweatshirt. It may be worn whenever your child wears his or her gym uniform.
Each Monday morning during the season of Advent, we will have our Advent Wreath Lighting Prayer Service. You are welcome to join us.
