St. Michael's School has one of the most extensive athletic programs of any grammar school in the area. We offer competitive league programs in volleyball, basketball, track and softball, as well as game and competition cheerleading programs, instructional basketball and intramural bowling. More importantly, we offer these programs while maintaining the academic integrity of the student athletes. We emphasize sportsmanship and scholarship equally as much as hearty competition and winning results. The bottom line is that the kids have fun, learn the benefits of teamwork and especially take pride in representing St. Michael's School to other schools and other communities.
The registration fees for the 2008-2009 sports season for each child is a $60 for the first sport and $10 for each additional sport. The registration fee is designed to help cover the costs incurred in the sports programs and to ensure the gym floor, equipment and uniforms remain up to date. As always, the Sports Association continually strives to keep the cost of these programs to a minimum.
If you wish to register your child for a sport, please complete the registration form and return it to the school in an envelope marked Sports Program/Registration Fee or deliver directly to your coach at the first practice.
The Sports Program Board is always seeking suggestions to keep the programs up to date and welcome your participation and ideas. Feel free to contact anyone on the SMS Sports Board or send your ideas and suggestions.
