Tuition & Fees

Education at St. Michael’s is funded by a combination of tuition, family fundraising and parish support. St. Michael’s families take an active and role in raising funds for the school. Archdiocesan funding guidelines require that 10% of a school’s operating budget come from fundraising activities.

The Registration fee is due at the time of registration and is not refundable. Registration is not complete without payment of the Registration fee. Applications for classes approaching maximun capacity will be placed on a waiting list.

VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT
In addition to tuition, each family is required to raise $400 annually through donations and/or fundraising activities plus a donation of at least $25 to the Annual Goods & Services Auction. For complete details, see the Family Fundraising Program page.

REFERRALS
The St. Michael’s School community welcomes referrals. For every referral that leads to a new enrollment at St. Michael’s School, a $100 referral credit will be applied to the fundraising obligation of the referring family for the following year's committment.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Full Payment
If payment is made by July 10, a family may deduct $100 in tuition for each child.

Alternative Plan
A family may choose to pay in 10 equal monthly payments beginning in July and ending in April.

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) - Payment may be made through EFT which automatically transfers funds from the payee's account to the school's account. Call the office for details (908-276-9425).
  • Credit Card
  • Monthly Billing

NOTE: Applications for the Monsignor Davis Scholarship for tuition assistance are available at the Parish Center. They must be completed and returned to the Parish Center by March 1 for the subsequent school term. No applications will be accepted after that date..

In accordance with policies adopted by the School Advisory Board and the Parish Finance Committee, tuition payments must be current as of December 1 or your child will not be permitted to enter the second half of the school year.


PARISH RATE

This rate applies to:
  1. Families who are registered members of St. Michael Parish at the time of registration and who contribute to the parish through the regular and active use of weekly church envelopes a minimum of $500 for the year ended December 31, 2008 and continuing thereafter.
  2. Families who are members of a neighboring parish without a school. You must obtain a letter from you pastor indicating that he will provide the required out-of-parish subsidy, which is the difference between the parish rate and the out-of-parish rate.
  3. Families paying the Parish Rate must sign and return the Parent agreement.
